Did you vote yet?

I voted!
Did you?
This morning I really did not want to get out of bed. The weather was cold, my bed was cozy, our upstairs neighbors kept me up by stomping about, I had no real reason to get to work early... I had a whole host of reasons to stay in bed.

But I also had an important one to force me out: Today is voting day in NYC.

Wanting to do my part, I forced myself up and outside early to head over to my polling place. After waiting a little while in a short but very slow moving line, I filled in my bubbles (I miss the lever machines! Don't the bubbles make you feel like you're taking a standardized test?), put on my "I Voted" sticker, and got to work right on time.

If you're a New Yorker, don't forget to vote today. The polls are open until 9pm, so you still have time if you didn't go this morning. Here are a few helpful links in case you need them...

What's the main site for New York elections?
Where do you need to go to vote? There's even a new app! Don't forget to make note of your Assembly District so you can skip the first table and head directly to the right spot.
What about the proposals on the back of the ballot? NYU and Huffington Post both have breakdowns on the details.
Wait... Are you even registered? Find out here.

I wish you short voting lines!
